Goblin Stone was chosen, along with few other international indie game titles, to be exhibited and compete at the Busan Indie Connect Fest and Game Awards last September 2022. Busan Indie Connect (BIC) Festival 2022, is Korea’s largest indie game festival hosted by the BIC Organizing Committee. Indie games of different genres from Korea and around the world were invited and it was an honor for us at Orc Chop Games to be a part of it.
BIC Fest is a four-day long event that was held at BPEX. During the first two days, our team not only had a great opportunity to experience and learn from the Indie Game Community but we were also able to create connections with other game developers. We enjoyed our time sharing our game development experiences with our friends at Clem, Ratopia, Connectank and Cuisineer.

The third and fourth days were the most challenging for us because it was then that BIC opened its doors to the general public where we were able to showcase Goblin Stone to the press and the gaming community. We held playtesting, and we received insightful and encouraging comments from the community which really helped us gather and welcome new ideas for our game. And of course, we get to share our love for goblins through our cute Goblin Stone stickers!
Our experience and efforts at BIC Fest left a lasting and great impression on Goblin Stone especially within the Korean gaming community. We may not have won an award this time, but we as a team surely took home far more unforgettable lessons from our very first international offline event, something that we will share with our team back in Manila.

We are excited to share that Goblin Stone will be featured at two upcoming Steam events. Today, Goblin Stone joins other independent games in the spotlight at the Busan Indie Connect Fest and the Dreamhack 2023 on August 18th. Our demo playable in both English and Chinese language will remain accessible on our Steam page, giving you a glimpse of what Goblin Stone is all about.
